Dr Arjun Gandhi

Dr Arjun Gandhi is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who manages a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders. He has a special interest in liver disease, including cirrhosis and metabolic associated fatty liver disease. He also enjoys performing diagnostic endoscopy and colonoscopy.

About

Arjun completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of Queensland before moving to Perth to complete his medical degree. He undertook his Residency and Basic Physician training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He went on to complete his Gastroenterology Advanced training at the Gold Coast University Hospital as well as the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He spent his final year of training as the Hepatology fellow at the Princess Alexandra Hospital gaining knowledge and experience in Liver disease and Liver Transplantation.

Arjun has a keen interest in medical education and remains actively involved with teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, with an appointment with the University of Queensland as a Senior Lecturer. Arjun was also responsible for chairing the State-Wide Queensland Gastroenterology Education Program (QGEP) for 2023.

Arjun will be performing open access endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures at Queensland Gastroenterology till April 2024 before he embarks on a post graduate clinical fellowship at Oxford University (John Radcliffe Hospital).

He also currently holds a public appointment as a visiting medical officer at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
