Dr Laurence Britton is a Gastroenterologist who specialises in liver disease (Hepatology). His major interests are the management of fatty liver disease (also known as NAFLD or MASLD – metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). He is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland and a former senior staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Queensland for his study into the role of iron in fatty liver disease.
Laurence is committed to providing quality open-access (without prior consultation) gastroscopy and colonoscopy and best practice care for all liver diseases at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
